Those from the UK — what’s your take on your home‑grown musicians? Are they like the guys next door you could grab a beer with, chat and hang out with — or do they keep their distance from the public and fans, like in Russia, surrounding themselves with tons of security?
Personally, I can’t listen to songs in my native language if the lyrics are meaningless or fail to resonate with me — I understand the text and the song’s message too well. When I don’t understand the language of a song and just hear the music, I can imagine all sorts of things — even stuff that isn’t actually in the song. And that’s kind of fun.
